SIP virtual birthday party. The Hospitality Team will host a virtual, online Birthday Party every quarter to honor members who will celebrate a birthday for that quarter. Drop in as your schedule permits. Share your favorite birthday memories, photos, and/or wishes, hopes, and dreams for the future! Every month, in the newsletter, there will be an announcement of the virtual birthday party, along with a sign up link. All members are welcome to join in. A Zoom conference link will be sent the night before the virtual party to registrants.

These high school seniors are honored with scholarships sponsored by Chi Am and individual Club members.
Applicants will be notified by mid-to-late April whether they have been awarded a scholarship. All awardees must participate as directed in the annual scholarship award ceremony to receive their award.

Ben Painter Elementary School

As a community service outreach, the committee will purchase, assemble, and fill 40 school backpacks with classroom supplies which will then be donated to students in a currently underserved school. This will be the second year that we will assemble and distribute backpacks to Ben Painter Elementary School in San Jose.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing guidelines, we will not assemble backpacks with school supplies as in the past. However, returning students will need our help now more than ever. Please consider donating funds to purchase paper, notebooks, pens, backpacks by clicking DONATE below.

Accepting Donations until Monday, November 9th
LifeMoves offers temporary shelter for homeless families, single adults, and veterans. It offers assistance with finding housing, and helps families return to self-sufficiency.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there will not be a meeting to assemble and prepare our donations. Instead, your donations can be dropped off at either Maria Lu's or Jenny Leung's home anytime between now and November 9th. All contributions, including checks, will get delivered to LifeMoves around November 10th. As part of Chi Am's community outreach, we hope you can help out in contributing to the drive!

This is a project to revise the original Chi-Am Cookbook developed over 40 years ago, and add favorite member recipes frequently requested to create a new updated treasured Chi-Am cookbook keepsake for sale. All proceeds to benefit the Chi-Am community service fund to help defray the costs of supporting other community based organizations.
