Gloria Hom has arranged for a special discount of $10 for each ticket to the show. When you call to make your reservation, please ask for Andrew (650-329-0891) and tell him that your code is "Chi Am". Please call soon as tickets are going fast!

After the show, Gloria has planned a dinner at Hong Kong Restaurant (3691 El Camino Real, Palo Alto). The cost will be $30 per person including tax and tip. For reservations, a check must be made out to Gloria Hom and mail to 660 Towle Way, Palo Alot, CA 94306 by April 15.

Ticket Prices: $25-$55. Discounts for Seniors, Educators, Under 30, and Military available at all performances.

This is our premier event highlighting the accomplishments of graduating Asian American high school students. Deserving students are honored with scholarships sponsored by Chi Am and individual Club members.

Guest speaker is Kim Delevett. She is the Community Affairs & Grassroots Region Leader of Southwest Airlines. The speaker will be honoring our scholarship winners, and delivering a key note speech to the students.

Applicants will be notified by mid-to-late April whether they have been awarded a scholarship or not. All awardees must attend the annual scholarship dinner to receive their award.

Awardees are guests of Chi Am Circle.

Golden Gate Bridge Walk & Lunch   [ Flyer ]

Meet at First Republic Bank of Los Altos for bus ride

Spend a beautiful day crossing the Golden Gate bridge, have lunch at nearby Legion of Honor, and enjoy exploring the sights or museum around it. You also help raise funds for the American Breast Cancer Society. This, you can do without worrying about driving and parking since we will be transported in a deluxe air-conditioned bus to SF and back.

Your payment includes:
* Round-trip bus transportation from First Republic Bank in Los Altos. Pickup is at 9am. Planned return and drop at 4pm.
   - The bus will drop us off at the North Visitors Center (Sausalito side), then pick us up an hour later at the Golden Gate Visitors Center.
   - The bus will take us to the Legion of Honor where we can enjoy lunch. You have your choice of eating at the Pagan Restaurant, the Lands End Observatory or bring your own bagged lunch and picnic in the area. The view is amazing!
* Drinks and snacks to and from San Francisco
* $20, tax-deductible donation to the American Breast Cancer Society

As a community service outreach, the committee will purchase, assemble, and fill 40 school backpacks with classroom supplies which will then be donated to students in a currently underserved school. This will be the second year that we will assemble and distribute backpacks to Ben Painter Elementary School in San Jose.

Impress your friends with your one-of-a-kind jewelry. You will create 1, 2 or 3 pieces of jewelry using pre-packaged beads, or create your items using the beads and supplies available.

COST: $12 per person, includes all materials (beads, glass pearls, findings, glue, chains, strings, etc.), instruction sheets and gift bags to store your finished project. Please bring one or 2 pairs of long nose pliers and if you have one, a pair of wire cutters.

The event is free for members and now open to female guests for a $10 donation to the service fund. You can sign up a friend online below.

Learn Self Defense from a professional. This is a self-defense class for women. It will take into consideration the diverse age span in the club. General self-defense instructions and demonstration for personal safety, hands-on instruction taking into consideration mobility, instructions according to the age group in attendance, fun and safe.

Please wear loose/gym clothes. No shoes in gym (recommend non-skid socks). No food allowed and water is provided.

Spaces are limited, please sign up early after you receive Evite.

After 1:30 pm -- no host lunch. Location TBD.

Chi Am Cookbook Project   

Purchase Cookbook here at $25 each plus $8 shiping and handling or no charge for picking up. location to be announced.

This is a project to revise the original Chi-Am Cookbook developed over 40 years ago, and add favorite member recipes frequently requested to create a new updated treasured Chi-Am cookbook keepsake for sale. All proceeds to benefit the Chi-Am community service fund to help defray the costs of supporting other community based organizations.
